I use glasses similar to these. They wrap around for good peripheral vision, have soft neoprene padding to block out wind and come with 4 different lenses for different riding conditions. They are have good UV protection, are polarized and economical if you loose them.

Yep. I have a couple pairs of Ray Ban Rx that I get from Glasses.com for I think about $180. The classic Ray Ban green/gray lenses, polarized are awesome.

Traditional riding glasses with a foam rim would probably be better but between the fairing on my bike and when needed a face shield they're great.

I wear Randolph Aviators. The bayonet style makes them easier to put on and take off when wearing a helmet and they don't bother my ears. The gold lens helps take away some of the shadows. I am wearing them behind a windshield on all my bikes

Aviators are sunglasses. I have several vintage pairs. But they offer little if anything in the way of protection while riding a motorcycle. It doesn't take much for some airborne projectile to strike the glass lens spraying glass chards into an eyeball. Worse, the particle could destroy the eye entirely. Then you lose control. This isn't some one in a million kind of thing. Nor is it an every day kind of thing. But why take the risk of losing your vision. Riding is risky as it is.

Still have a pair of gold Porsche Design aviator sunglasses from the 1980's and still wear them. Oldest daughter says she wants them willed to HER when I die.

Ray-Ban Wayfarers are my favorite riding glasses. They seem to fit my fat face the best.

I wear contact lenses so wind is a significant issue. If it is cold (which dries out my eyes), or pollen season, or if I am going to be on the interstate for a prolonged period, I wear wrap arounds, specifically Wiley-X. But in the summer, especially on state highways and back roads, I find the sealed kind too hot and wear Ray Ban aviators, as in this photo. Even at highway speeds they provide sufficient wind protection.

I wear them while driving my cars - wouldn't even think about wearing them for riding a motorcycle - that's just plain crazy. I di once and I couldn't see anything because of the tears. Even motorcycle riding glasses can't stop 100% of the crap in the air. I have had Wiley-X glasses for years and once in a while I'll still get a spec in the eye.
My eyes are everything - if I loose my sight, I'll take a dirt nap. I don't know how blind people survive.
