Today was “one of those days”. After trying to splice in the speedo indicator light module from a 2016 48 to my 12 XL1200c, I gave up trying to get the indicator lights to talk to the 1200 Customs ecm.
So I had to modify the 48’s speedo housing/bar clamp to accommodate the 2012’s factory indicator light module.
i think it came out OK..

I looked at it... Winter Storm Warning in effect for Indianapolis. It's damn near April for Christ's sake.

It's a 2000 with 193,000 miles on the clock, I take it kinda easy on her now. I did wheel with it a few times, years ago though.

The 4.0L is as bullet proof as they come, but I'm not going to push it.

I hear you, the bottoms of the doors are starting to go on mine.

Still runs like a new one though, carry's 25-30 psi oil pressure at idle, and 50 psi at anything over 1500 rpm. Being **** about oil changes pays off!

It's no surprise that HD owners would like Jeeps as well. The XJ and TJ generations were easy to work on and were built tough. My last TJ (02) rotted from the salt on the roads here. I could have done a body-off repair but chose to sell it and move on. I will have another some time. At one point, my life revolved around dumping money into this thing-

I did run Castrol GTX in it in the past, recently I started buying Rural King's 10w30 synthetic for it. Can't beat $9.99 for a 5 quart jug, and seems to have good reviews.

The Sportster gets babied with the good stuff... Redline. A man's gotta have priorities!
