Tried to get the bike out on Sat when it was 65 and grilling in a short sleeve shirt but inlaws came over for the holiday weekend. After they left on Sun we got 3 inches of snow. Welcome to Iowa.
Today I suddenly realized I didn't have the injectors I thought I had on my bike. Stock is 3.91 g/sec, and doing the math showed I need 4.9 g/sec injectors. So, I figured, since the tank, top motor mount, and entire a/c is coming off anyway to change the injectors, I ordered an HPI MaxFlow 55-58 throttle body. It's only money....

No doubt, a considerable amount of money. Let us know what difference the change makes. tp

Yeah, it's a heavy hit, but I figure I might as well get it over with. In talking to Daren Scheffer, WFO Larry, and Jimmy at HPI they all independently suggested I run this particular throttle body. With that said, I'm sure it'll make a definite difference, but I'll never know how much since I haven't ridden my new build yet as the small injectors will undoubtedly run lean--not the way to break in a new top end. Plus, it turns out my stock throttle body is only 46mm, and all along I thought it was 50mm. The difference between a 46mm bore and a 55mm bore plus a 58mm plenum should be considerable.
From: Depends on who wants to know.........and why.
I'm going to ride the Dyna out to Summerville to pull up some carpet for sister. It's a 60 mile ride roughly. Looking fwd to the ride, not the carpet pulling, lol. It's a nice scenic road and the temp is now 66 at 8:13 am, partly cloudy.
Pulled my Supertrapp Supermegs 2 into 1 yesterday to get the bike ready to install my new Bassani Road Rage III. Now I just need to get the Supertrapp sold.
