I don't think he has a problem finding a bike. He has a problem finding a bike for what he wants to pay for one.
that's why i posted the links...
i would never pay what some people pay for bikes or buy new (came close once) that s*** blows my mind. no way i'd pay 6k+ for a sportster. no way in hell. there are just too many used garage queen bikes will 200mi on them sitting in garages, bigger bike idiots, and dudes in bad financial situations that need to be exploited... "I'm here to help" $$$.
f*** a warranty... i'm the warranty. there has been no new sportster since 2004. same bike with different stuff attached.
but, i understand wanting what you want and just wanting to ride, not to wrench. sort of..
well Airgroom, you brought up a good point which is "fitted with all the wrong mods/upgrades" I did skip on a bike like that with an asking price of $6500 and you are absolutely right he had a digital speedometer on it and I was like WTF why would you put this on a FortyEight, I mean different strokes for different folks I get it, so I though of buying the bike and replace that back to OEM and then the next thing was the seat.... long story short when I did the math and though of the efforts that I'll put I figured moving on with my search is better cause it is not worth it, and now I am more into buying a stock bike; will give it two weekends if I find nothings I'll just hit the dealer and get a standard issue, will do the mods I like this winter.
