My 2011 wige glide has the side license plate mount. It sticks out a bit too far. Has anybody rotated the plate by 90 degrees to make the long direction up and down, minimizing how far it sticks out?
If so, how did you do it? With after market parts?
Hey the OEM plate mount will turn 90 deg if that's how you want it, it is made to go in either position. Take your plate off of the mount and study it a bit and you will figure it out.
Take plate off, remove center bolt, the backing plate is 2 PC, turn the half on the outside half on it's side. Align the two elongated groove circled together and put center nut back in, bolt in your plate, it is now on it's side.
