I run the HD regular plugs and regular HD oil and trans fluid, always will-don't see a need to change and it not like all that stuff is priced bad.

HD plugs are made by Champion and the Champion xref plug for the Sporty is an RA8HC.
About $1.50 ea at the local auto parts store. Change them every 10,000 miles as called for in the SM. Haven't had a single problem with them in 80,000 miles.

I tried NGK's v-grove and my 2000 883, ran like crap and fouled in no time. I was quite surprised as I am a big fan of NGK's.

Me to,we're probably the only 2 Harley riders who use genuine parts.I changed the plugs at the 20000 service, and they looked as good as when I fitted them.

I bought a set of accel wires and they sent me a pair of platinum plugs I think they are accel platinum U groove plugs. They seem to do well and my mileage is good, I have about 1,500 miles on them no problems.

Im on my second set of NGK's and couldn't be happier. I just pulled the old set and kept them as a backup as they still looked great.

Plain old Autolites, they are so cheap you can put in a new set every year whether it needs them or not.
