Default Debating Cam Upgrades or Big Bore, help!

Hello everyone, the time has come to do a bit of work to my 2018 Road King Special. I already have the S&S mk45 slip-ons and I was just thinking of adding a head pipe and doing a tune. But since I'll already be paying for a tune I thought a cam upgrade would be nice. The shop I'm going to go with uses the Fueling 465 camchest kit. Here is a link to that kit and all the stuff it includes to help solve any sumping issues and so on.
CamKit
Their pricing seems fair and they are offering a special on the 124" big bore kit with the oiling upgrades. Am I crazy for considering doing the big bore kit and am I getting in over my head with that? I typically alternate riding either of my bikes to work on a regular basis and occasionally take my wife out in to the mountains where the extra power would be really nice to have if not necessary. My main concern is doing the cam and wishing I would have spent a little more and just upped the displacement. Has anyone ridden both options I'm considering or owned both or done a cam and wished you'd gone up to a larger size instead? Also, anyone who uses their bike similarly to me go to a larger size and regret spending the money or have issues? I certainly don't need the fastest bike out there or the bike with the biggest numbers as it will never be as fast as my aprilia. I guess I'm just concerned more about getting the best bang for my upgrade bucks. Thanks everyone!

Two words: big bore. More power, better sound, just plain awesome. No regrets.

I guess my main concern is if the clutch, transmission and cooling system is up to the task with the bigger displacement and increased power .

Clutch is not up to task of the big bore. That said the AIM VP-SDR is the fix. VP-SDR

I have that in my 13 CVO King, 138.5HP and 140 Torque, no slip what so ever. Will be using it when I build my 19 CVO Road Glide.

Like said clutch needs replacing. Cooling isn’t bad but of course could always be better and tranny is fine just don’t slam gears

Makes sense, thanks for the info everyone. Just talked to the shop, doing the big bore instead of the cam swap is an extra $2000. But I guess 130hp and buckets of torque might just be worth that. Now to decide if I can be satisfied with what I'll have for the next 10 years and not trade it in and get destroyed on value.
