Default 95 or 98 Big Bore kit?

Wondering what the pros/cons are for either kit. Will 49cc really make that much of a difference? The same cam in either a 95 or 98 should really make a big difference between the two, right?

I'm upgrading a 2001 RK from 88CI; already have a mild cam, I think it's an Andrews 26.

Or, am I better off going with a different cam, and keeping it an 88?

Thanks!

I ran a 95" with Andrews 26 and a mild port with 9.5:1 in my 04 and was happy.

Talk to Scott at Hillside. Did a 98" kit for me and am thrilled with the power available. A night and day difference.

Hillside fixed me up for right at $600 a year or so ago. Full gasket kit, jugs, custom pistons machined for your application, rings fitted to pistons.

I guess 98 is always better than 95. No reason not to.

The price should be the same for either a 95" or 98".

I know it's personal opinion but you might as well go 98 well you are having those cylinders bored.

I've been really happy with the 26s in my 98 build. It makes for a really strong and reliable runner.

Agree. There should be little to no cost difference so why not go with the bigger CI. You've already got a good cam to go with the 88. Moving to a 95/98 will make it feel that much stronger, but don't expect a huge difference.
