Default 99 roadking serious electrical draw.

Ok this is my problem I got a fresh battery fully charged hook it to the bike battery reads dead unhook it from bike battery says charged. New stater new voltage regulator checked the power wires for shorts nothing. Any help here would be highly appreciated.

First step is to get the battery load tested.

You should have come here before you started troubleshooting by buying parts.

Connecting the battery is not instantly making the battery go dead (the cables would be on fire).

Tell us exactly how you are measuring the voltage.

What are you touching the voltmeter probes to?

Red to hot side of battery and black to negative side of battery.

Are you always touching the probes to the posts, not the battery terminals?

Who's load testing the battery?
A battery can read good but will fail under load if it has a bad cell.

I experienced an intermittent discharged problem with a new MoCo battery a couple of years back...never could verify it was bad on a charger or load test, but I did verify that the rest of the system was good and replacing it fixed my problem. The local dealer I purchased it from did a warranty replacement with no questions.
