I have a 2018 M8 107" Road King. I installed slip ons when I bought it which didn't require a tune. I want to install an air cleaner now and will obviously need a tune.

I have an Orange SE Pro Tuner and all the cables from my 2011 Road Glide - I can get that reset for around $150.

Does anyone know if this will work with the 2018 M8? Are there tunes/maps available? What are my other options for tuners - I don't want to spend a fortune as I probably won't do anything other than the AC.

 

Crap I'm out of town until Monday. I have the orange SEPST and I know it does have Maps for M8. If I was home, I could tell you exactly.

Do not get the orange Super Tuner confused with the orange Race Tuner, or the black Street Tuner. I found alot of confusion between the different H-D Screamin Eagle Tuning modules. The software programs and training manuals are different as well.

I doubt the compatibility of the Orange Super Tuner on 2018 model H-D motorcycles. The EPA lawsuit against H-D was finalized in June of 2017. H-D dealerships cannot provide service or support for the H-D SE Orange Super Tuners.

The newer Black Street Tuner was developed by H-D to be used on Twin-Cams and M8 bikes. The newer Black Street Tuner is EPA compliant.

I would suggest you ask your local H-D dealership whether any re-tune is necessary for just an Air Cleaner and Slip-ons. I doubt it.

The orange Pro Super Tuner will work just fine, Finding a canned tune will not be so easy. You will likely need to put the bike on a dyno and get it tuned that way.

 

As mentioned, I'll check when I get back home on Monday. I know for a fact it has tunes for M8's, but as mentioned, it may only be for 2017 models.

where are you getting it reset? also yes it will work, but like said before you wont get a canned map unless someone shares on with you. Buy you would have no problem tuning your bike with it.
