Default Motorcycle Lifts

Been researching motorcycle lifts and I see there are brands like A-Plus, Black Widow and Redline. i was thinking about getting one for the shop to make things easier. I have a center jack that does decent but was maybe trying to buy something a little safer! Any opinions or recommendations from experience. Appreciate the inquiry!

I got a HMC air lift a few years ago. It’s been a total dream to use compared to using my old craftsman motorcycle jack. It’s made in the USA and built like a tank. It’s more on the expensive side though compared to other options but I wanted something that’s fully rebuildable and would last the rest of my life.

There's no lack of threads discussing them, both here and on other forums.

Myself, I got a Harbor Freight unit some years ago, and it has served me well. It has proven plenty strong to handle my Road King, with me upon it.

Are there better, or "better", lifts? Of course. They also cost more. Sometimes a whole lot more.
As well different designs, like side lifts. I wanted a conventional table for access from both sides.

If you're not afraid of used equipment, some great deals can be had on facebook marketplace.

Id suggest a used one, as most new ones are probably skimping on metal thickness or quality. Hayden is a good brand, I have an older Black Widow.

I have a Handy that I picked up off of FB Marketplace for about a third of the MSRP. There is a search engine called Search Tempest that searches everything... EBay, Craigslist, and Marketplace that you can set your parameters in to. You might consider looking at used; I got a good lift at a good price.

I bought a nice used Handy several years ago and it’s been great. Parts always available if you need to rebuild a valve or cylinder and made in the USA. If you find one used it’s always going to have good resale value if you decide to sell later.

I bought a used Handy lift in 1986.
I still have it.
It still works fine.

I picked up a used Handy lift from a motorcycle shop that was closing for $150.00. It does have a small air leak but not enough to cause it not to work like it should.
Mine did not come with the side attachments so there was no where to put my feet if I was sitting on the bike on the lift so I had to fabricate those. I believe the manufacturer wanted over $600 for factory ones.
I also have a removable ramp, but do not have a removable area beneath the rear wheel.
I believe the lift also helps me from dealing with getting up and down off the ground while having to work on a bike. Getting older, I find I can't do the things I did when I was younger.

Scored this Handy SAM 1200 yesterday from Facebook Marketplace for $1200 including the dolly. I sold a Handy lift around 20 yrs ago and regretted it, especially the last few years.
Was just scrolling and saw this one for sale, contacted the seller and made the160 mile drive the next day to pick it up.

The pony express arrived yesterday. Installed these spiffy ratchet straps.
