2013 softail slim fls bcm fried?
I have a 2013 softail slim, that I rode for the first time this season last week. This weekend I got on it and it wouldnt start just a click.
I put it in a charger for a while wouldnt start. Then a jump pack nothing. Jumper cables to a running truck and it wouldnt start just turn over like once then stop. Tried that a few times. Decided the battery must have a dead short. But after unhooking from the truck I hear the starter clicking trying to engage just with not enough power.
I now have a new battery in it and when I hook the battery terminals up it instantly starts to turn over even with the switch off and kill switch killed. The silinoid is not the issue the small communication wire is constantly sending the start singnal.
Ive been chasing this problem for many hours and cant figure out what it could be. A short in the starting circuit, bcm, ecm? I Dont know, any thoughts would be much appreciated

So you unplug the solenoid wire and hooking up the battery is OK?
If so sounds like the BCM is toast..

Gonna have fun if any time the battery is connected the starter runs..

Could disconnect the solenoid wire and the connect a light bulb across the solenoid wire to ground. It's the 65 pan / shovel relay test..
