Default Rear Brake Linkage

I have a S&S 2 into 1 Street pipe on my 2020 Lowrider S, it required the S&S brake pedal. Does anyone know if an adjustable linkage like the Green Bros. type will work with that pedal?

I also have a 2020 FXLRS that used to have the S&S pipe and brake pedal before I made changes. I had the Greene Bros linkage on my bike and it would bind against the peg mount. I would suggest the softail brake linkage from Thrashin Supply instead. The straight body design helps to avoid the binding created by the exaggerated s-curve shape of the Greene Bros linkage. Plus, the opposite threaded heim joints on each end of the Thrashin unit make adjustments much easier to accomplish.

I tried the Thrashin Supply, wouldn't work either. I like the pipe, the S&S brake pedal that came with it sucks. S&S knows it and came out with a different pedal, but I'm not paying $360.00 for it. I bled the rear brake and it's better, so will live with it for now. Thanks.

Fair...I agree about the pedal. I also had the older design. The S&S pipe looks and sounds good but leaves some performance on the table. However, exhausts are quite expensive, and there is no need to change something that you like. Might I suggest that you consider changing the rear brake pads? Lyndall Brakes offers some pads that have a more aggressive compound. The Xtreme compound is still an organic compound but is more aggressive than many sintered pads. Lyndall also makes an Xtreme Sintered pad but I don't think it's been made available for our motorcycle as of yet. The rear braking performance of the M8 softail platform(especially the mid mount bikes) is notoriously poor. I changed to the Lyndall pads and noticed that, once bedded in, the performance improved. Mind you, the improvement wasn't earth shattering, but I could at least finally feel the rear brakes bite where before I felt as though using the rear brake was a nearly wasted effort. Just something you might consider that doesn't entail a large monetary investment. -Ride hard, ride fast, ride safe.

Yes, great suggestion. I've been using Lyndall pads for 20 years, but still have the OE on this bike. They'll probably never wear out LOL. Changing to the Lyndall's will happen soon.
