Default my new favorite ear plugs

as one that uses hearing protection for all things noisy, I have a myriad of different types
Foam and flange of different varieties to muffs electronic and non

The plugs I liked best for shooting and drumming (silicone flange type) I didn't like for riding
Surefire EP-7 has been my go to for riding for years ..until this week

I wanted some disposable foam plugs to toss in the bikes bags.
I've been disappointed with most foam plugs, so I've trying different ones

I tried these and love 'em

PIP EZ-Twist Red Hybrid Disposable Earplugs with 30 dB Noise Reduction Rating (10-Pack) PRO92346-10P - The Home Depot

Thanks for the tip!. I have need for ear plugs on occasion, nice to have an "expert" opinion. I see they have in stock at my local HD.

Think I'll try them to, like the looks of those little stems, sometimes I have trouble removing the foam ones I use.

that's what make the difference for me with foam plugs
Give 'em a little roll squish and stem helps insert them
Most all the foam plugs come loose on a ride in "my" ear

Not so with these due to stem pushing them a tad deeper

the fact that they're down right cheap compared $20 buck EP-7's is icing on the cake!

For riding I like the orange rubber ones that slip on easy. The db rating is less. I am not sure you are concerned with max db reduction

Something about my right ear, most plugs don't stay sealed while on the bike

Ya those, they slip in easier than foam.. as I said I am not sure you need that great of noise reduction on a bike. Not like shooting gun or working someplace loud.

donno about all that

not just obnoxiously loud pipes and crappy music blaring some Yo-Yos indulge in
but WIND noise

How Do I Protect My Ears When I Ride a Motorcycle?

Motorcycle wind noise often reaches 90–115 dB at highway speeds, exceeding the 85 dB threshold for permanent hearing damage in under 15 minutes. Noise levels typically hover around 90 dB at 40 mph and can exceed 100 dB at 60+ mph, making it louder than the engine
