Embedded NAV Question

For those of you that use the embedded NAV. Can you use Apple CarPlay to Spotify/Pandora/etc. and then switch to the NAV for navigation? I know I can do that in my car, but no idea on the bike. Looking to get all the info I can before purchasing the NAV subscription.

Just trying to justify the cost of the NAV. I use Apple Maps, but I do ride through a lot of rural areas and want to make sure that I have at least NAV available through those areas.

I use CarPlay as well and understand the areas with no signal. A work around is download google/apple maps offline and will work when no cellular signal.

I use the HD navigation as back up only for when I lose cell signal. Waze is 99% of the time, I prefer how it works. I bought my 2022 RGL used, no subscription and no map updates. it still works just fine to get me back to a place with a proper signal. Riding from NY to Yellowstone last year the worst location was Yellowstone and Nav worked just fine for what I needed it to do. Is it going to have the name and address of the newest restaurant in town, NO. But pretty sure the Interstate hasn't moved recently and it will get you back to civilization without a subscription, good luck.
