Default Can Someone Identify This Box Please

Guys - I have a New to me 2005 FXDLI
dont know Any of its history - except the Security System has been Disabled
by the dealer , and a cruise control has been installed ( by who , I don’t know )
Upon installing a battery tender , I found this box under the seat
it doesn’t have Any markings or part numbers anywhere
it’s getting power by what looks like an old telephone snap connecter
and the other end is plugged into a connecter that looks to be Harley

is this thing a part of the Security Delete - or cruise control

thanks Guys / Gals

Jim

Looks like it might be for cruise control.

Suspecting cruise, but you should trace the wires and see where they go.

The wiring colours at the handlebar module and those at the box match so imho both box and controle module are related.
It seems to me the blue wire marked + at the box is tapped into the red/yellow brakelight wire. In theory the cruise control computer module needs to know immediately when you press the front or rear brake to instantly switch off the system.
How it works: As soon as you press a brake lever or pedal, +12V voltage is applied to this red/yellow wire leading to the taillight. The aftermarket cruise control picks up this voltage change as the 'kill signal' and interupts the signal to the ignition coil.

Thanks Guys
i see the color coded wires at the handlebars match the box
i hadn’t noticed that

Even though it’s injected , it’s an older system with cables for the throttle
whick means if I got it right , the cruise has a dedicated cable
And in that case it’s got a servo “ somewhere “

but everything is so tight on this bike that it would take a whole
weekend to trace every wire and find the servo ( all parts ) ( tank off )
also on further inspection , where it actually plugs into the box ,
the connector is White , where the Harley ones are black

I was very Concerned that this thing was part of a Dealer security delete
and would leave me stranded
it’s so haphazardly installed ( it probably got kicked around a lot )

I’ll just tuck it away for now ,
I haven’t had a chance to see if any of this works
sitting in the garage - running - if I push the power button- then push set - it blinks red
( makes sense- the bike knows it not moving )

Sweet - Thanks for the all the help guys

My best guess is that the servo is mounted to the left vertical frame tube
