I like the quickee adjustable pushrods the handle pretty easy. I just finished installing a set that includes the pushrod covers. I turned the motor over with the starter just to listen and see if everything sounded ok. Everything sounded fine I didn't hear anything unusual, but the front cylinder exhaust pushrod cover has got a little wiggle. I assume the jam nuts must be rubbing the inner tube. I noticed before I dropped the lower tube down the the jam nuts was really close to the inner tube. Apparently it hits just enough. I'm going to have to take the pushrods out and shorten the inner pushrod tubes. They are quite a bit longer than the OE inner tubes. Anyone else have to cut down the inner pushrod tubes from the s&s kit for your Milwaukee 8?

I have not used Quickee pushrods in an M8, yet..
I have used them two times in a Twin Cam. There was no need to alter or modify them to fit and work well.
The M8 pushrods are also designed to fit and work without alteration or modification.
Before cutting anything up, I would be checking the installation....
Better yet, did you get the correct part number for M8 Quickees ?
Absolutely have the correct part number. I haven't taken anything apart yet. I will look at much closer this evening. I know for sure the inner tubes are quite a bit longer than the OE inner tubes.
Here is a picture this is not my bike but it shows the situation and is exactly what I have. In the picture the the cylinder is TDC and the lifters are all the way down. You can see the inner tube sticking out of the outer tube. This is with the inner tube all the way up in its position in the head that's how long the inner tubes are. With the pushrods adjusted you can see the collar is already inside the inner tube. When the lifter moves up in its travel the jam nuts will go into the inner tube. Looks to me like they would be fine if everything is in perfect alignment. There is not a lot of room
it would not take much for the pushrod to rub in this area. The screamin eagle pushrods use the very same lower tube as the s&s they are identical in shape and length and they use the OEM inner tube which is considerably shorter than the s&s tube.
I think there's a note in the install instructions about trimming the tubes down. No harm in doing so. FWIW, I didn't trim mine and I don't have a push rod making contact.

I was unaware of that... If so, then follow their instructions.
I have modded parts before too... I just won't jump right to a modification of a part that is supposed to fit, before checking everything out closely first.
OP, it looks like you've given this much thought, and not just jumping right to cutting stuff....
Let us know how everything works out...
PS- I'm coming from the anecdotal experience of the only time I ever had a pushrod tube wobble, the pushrod was bent...

Yes I seen that but it was making reference to Evo engines if I'm mistaken it could be possible I misunderstood.
