I am working on a few cool projects that I will share in a week or so. But this is a small bite.
when I take long trips I use my go pro and like to have it always plugged in - so I wanted a usb port that can quickly be installed for trips. The other end will come later, but this is the final prototype print. Clips onto the clutch cable.
Of course the final print will be black. But this is the idea, clean, and almost disappears. This is just a simple part of a larger system I am putting together, but since I was waiting on bits and bobs, I thought I would sit down and design this clip.

These are actually great devices. You can buy them with a handlebar clamp or with a screw mount or no mount at all and every type of power port (usb-c, usb-a, micro usb etc). I use one on my road king that is not mounted that I just connect to my battery tender. The ability to see your battery voltage at all times is a nice added feature. I used it for the first time heading to bikeweek in spring and it worked flawlessly on my iphone 16.
Lol . Yeah, looks like a great unit. Not my style, but I bet it looks great on other peoples bikes!
I hid it in my rider backrest organizer and ran a cord to my iPhone on the handlebars. My riding buddy was teasing me as well, but it did the job and once the 835 mile ride was over, I tucked it away till the return ride. A road king doesn't have any power ports up front and it was a cheap and effective solution.

I combined some off the shelf parts and fabricated a power port /Ram mount on my old Road King. It was pretty awesome
