Paid almost $900 for a Corbin solo, passenger, and backrest on EBay from a dude in Duluth Minnesota.
Confirmed hardware was included. Advertised as 500 miles on solo and 0 miles on passenger pillion and backrest. Great looking pictures all mounted nice on an orange Road Glide.
It arrived last night. Went through it today and found that he didnt send the rear mounting bracket. Not sure what good a $900 seat will be if I cant mount it to the bike.
Started to inspect the seats, the tongue on the passenger pillion was installed crooked when mounted it wouldnt be straight and the passenger backrest pad is way lopsided! Looks like ****! The backrest bracket obviously used with a hole drilled in it.
So it seems dude bought the seat from Corbin and it was defective. Had it replaced under warranty and of course they didnt replace the rear mounting hardware just the seats. Then took the seats to EBay and sold it to me.
What a shitty day. Almost threw up when I bought it too because frankly I am grossly under water financially due to fighting for time to father my daughter thought I deserved to treat myself and I would figure out the funds somehow .

Sorry that happened to you. There are some real tools out there scamming people for sure.
I would open a dispute with eBay, and also dispute the CC charge (or dispute with PayPal if you paid that way). Do you have the listing number? Was any of that ****ery shown in the pictures? If the item condition was misrepresented, you have a good chance. If it was pictured, then you're screwed.
I've been lucky in the very few times I've used Fleabay, but if you can meet the conditions as set out above, I'm betting you'll have some recourse. Was the seller maybe a member of some HD forums - as far as you can tell?
I had a really wierd deal on Ebay recently. I've often wanted to get a set of like new Screamin' Eagle M8 mufflers to tinker with. Definitely not a must have for me so I don't want to put a lot of money into them. Found a listing on Ebay that was a good deal with detailed photos and purchased them. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything so I contacted the seller. He said he canceled that listing two years ago because someone local to him wanted to buy the mufflers. He said he had no idea why that listing resurfaced. He contacted Ebay on my behalf and they worked things out just fine, but I thought man what a weird thing.
OP I think you should definitely contact Ebay if the seller won't give you a refund. One reason I stopped selling on Ebay is because Ebay ALWAYS seems to take the side of the buyer.
Man, sorry to hear that. It's almost gotten to the point you can't trust buying anything used online anymore, but hopefully eBay can make it right for you. They have pretty good customer protection policies in place.
