Air fuel adjustment.
I took the bike for a ride 2 days ago and when I stopped to have a cigar I noticed that my oil temp was 220-230. Had major butt sweat like I pissed my pants. This was after 60 miles. Outside temp was in the high 80s in florida. Checked the specs and found that typical temps in that range are acceptable but not to go over 240. Noticed I was running pretty lean by plug read and sneezing out the carb once in awhile. before i took the bike for a ride today, I adjusted the fuel air mixture one full turn out. Went for a ride, same conditions ,and stopped up at Sebastian. No sneezing and temp was 185-190. No sweaty *** and no sneezing out the carb. im set at 3 1/2 turns out compared to 2.5 turns out. Amazing what one turn on the fuel mixture will do. Thanks again for all the info on this site. It was a very comfortable ride.

You should always start with Model, year, any mods and how many miles..
At 3.5 turns out I would be looking into the lean condition not just turning out the mixture screw..
Check you intake seals at the heads, could be sucking air..
What size jets are in the carb?
Has the carb ever been cleaned?
