Thumbs down 2026 CVO Street Glide 3 Limited

Here is my rant for today: I have just purchased a 2026 CVO Street Glide 3 Limited. Was wondering why I didn't hear a 'chirp' from the alarm system when I shut the bike off, turns out the Security Smart Siren/Pager Alert module is now an option on Harley CVO models! Also, the tour pack brake light does not have integrated turn signals, as my previous 2021 CVO Trike did, the only turn signals now are on the rear fenders. I have noticed a drive train rattling noise from the crank case side. Turns out Harley knows of the noise (comes from the new chain tensioners) but has no update or fix for this. (The noise is very noticeable and bothersome when the bike is hot). After 200 kms the GPS froze, luckily the system will now access my IPhone for Google Maps. Local radio station reception is very poor; the antennae is now inside the front fairing. I had to purchase ($$$) an extra Harley Pack Talk communication module for my wife as the new CVO bikes come with only one. After another 300 kms the system would not switch from headset to bike speakers or vice versa and sometimes bike speakers or headsets would not activate! The rear fenders have been chopped 10 inches resulting in road grime and rocks sprayed on the lower sides of the trunk chipping the paint. Harley does not offer rear fender mudflaps for the 2026 models as the previous years do not fit (fenders are shaped differently). I would imagine the CVO paint color would be impossible to duplicate, (Harley does not offer paint chip repair kits). I moved the rider's backrest back one notch as I am 6' 2". The upholstery under the seat is placed too close to the opening and the backrest locking splines won't open to latch and secure. Had to cut and repair the upholstery underneath the seat. I suspect that problem may be a 'one-off' as I haven't yet heard of this problem on the forums. It is apparent that Harley Davidson has chosen to cut corners, discontinue previous and quality items on their CVO Models. Customers are paying top dollar for these 'Custom Vehicle Operations' models. Harley Davidson had better watch it's back. They are focusing on the wrong demographic to buy their motorcycles and producing an inferior product for the money. Indian is now a proprietary motorcycle manufacturer, and they are seriously considering a 3-wheeler within two years. Their CEO is a previous 26-year Harley Davidson executive. In the future Indian may not acquire nearly the share of the motorcycle market that Harley Davidson has now, but they may take a serious chunk of that market. Quality and heavy competition in any market will produce a better product.

Soooo empathetic! Deep buyer’s remorse with my 2024 RG3. Many of your dislikes. Looked and test rode a ‘26. Decided when I’m done with 3-wheels, I’m getting a Mustang convertible. Same money and less problems.

Exactly my plan for the future. I once owned a 1967 Pontiac GTO 6.5ltr, Hurst equipped. May flip this trike next year and find a convertible one. I suspect you're of my age group, trying to stay "in the wind" on a Harley motorcycle. Harley has forgotten or ignoring us Old School riders who were faithful to the brand.

I think you both should buy convertibles as soon as possible, they never have any issues, neither does any other brand of motorcycle.

When a new Harley trike costs as much as a new Mustang convertible, it doesn’t make sense to go with the former.
