I bought my 17 Low Rider FXDL in January.
The dealer I bought it from said the oil was still good and didn't need to be changed, but I thought I would change it anyways so I know when it was changed.
Looking at the service manual, the Primary says to use 34 oz if "Wet", which would mean when just changing oil.
The bottles of primary oil I want to buy is only 32 oz.
The place I want to buy the oil from says I only need 1 qt.
So I guess I have to buy another quart to get that other 2 oz.
Is this correct?
If you can find what you want in a liter bottle that's 33.8 ounces (the Belray comes in a liter).
What are you looking at that is better than Belray?
My 08 Electra Glide takes 38 so they did do that.

You will be fine with one for just a fluid change for a '17 Dyna.
Since you will change it again you could be 3 bottles and just keep taking 2 ounces out of one. Its not rocker surgery.
Add 2, not sure you would know if you didn't add 2 either
Tangent. Always look at your manual, cause as far as I know there are 3 primaries for touring family. More than one tranny too. And you get people saying I been running x for 10 years.
