My windshield bag cost $20 from an independent shop (Wilson Leather) here in Ft Worth. When I told the clerk that one very similar at the Harley shop cost $100, he said "I will be glad to mark this one up to $100 for you" !
The Harley Windshield bags are nice for small items but not for $99.00 bucks.
I have both, a $99 Harley bag on my Klock Werks windshield and an off brand on my stock windshield.
I put the Klock Werks shield on for long rides.
The Harley bag was attached to a windshield that I bought for $50 that I wanted the mounting hardware for my Klock Werks shield so I figure I got it for free.
I personally like the off brand better. That's why it's on my stock shield which stays on the bike 70% of the time.
The leather is less soft than the Harley one so it's easier to get in and out of.
I think I paid $30 for it at Nebraska Motorcycle Parts.
As for the $99 being too much for the Harley bag?
One thing I've learn is an item's worth is dependent on how badly it's wanted.
I like the Memphis Shades. Well made and plain. Hell, even the Willie and Max will do the job for $20. I don't care if it is real leather or not. If that matters expect to pay $100
