One disadvantage of the clear glass lens which many of us have:
The light seen by other drivers during the day almost disappears unless they're straight in front of it. For safety reasons, I want my headlamp to be highly visible at other angles, like a 45 degree angle.
A Cibie replacement headlamp (about 90 bucks) has those molded-in ridges in the lens, and they're much more visible from a variety of angles.
A couple of different sizes are vailable here, and also bulbs up to 130/100:
