Being overly cautious ~ I've always just changed all three holes @ 2500 miles. Takes about an hour. Knowing all would be fine for many more miles, I've always felt it's cheap maintenance and a good way to keep an eye on all the scary parts. Been using Amsoil for years for a reference. But my oil choice is not the issue. Any one else crazy like me?
5000 miles on the engine.. haven't had to do the transmission because i've had the clutch housing cover off the past few years, so i had to drain/replace the oil anyways. Primary i've only done once, will probably do it next year.
i basically go by the time table in the back of the owners manual
I change according to Harley recommendations.
I also change according to manufacturer recommendations on my other vehicles which aren't highly modified from stock, and are basically used as the manufacturer anticipated.
