Default Just Bought the HD Frame Guards

I Just bought the frame guards for jacking my Heritage. You get two in a box and you just cut them to fit between the cross members of the frame. Got 4 pieces two per side and snapped them on. Jacking up the bike was easy and it remained very stable. Gives shocks more then an inch clearance from the Jack.

Hey Heritage07...I had been thinking about the frame guards for my Fat Boy when I'm working on the beast. Sounds like they might beworth a $20.00 bill.

Thanks...

Steve

I almost did the same thing.
After cleaning the bike, I put everything up and went in the house.
The next day I was going for a ride and I went out in the garage and looked down and those orange babies were still on there. [sm=icon_beat.gif]
I guess there must have been a gremlin that put them back on. LOL
Maybe that's why they are orange. [sm=confused06.gif]

I bougt a set of these and fitted to my 04 Fatboy frame, but my Sears bikelift would not fit underneat with the guards on. Guess I could have put the tires over some boards to raise her, butI have read in other posts that placing jack under shocks does not do anything bad, so I just did that. Everything seems okay. Not sure why others seem to get Sears jack under Fatboys with the frameguards on?

Oh yeah,

They are worth every penny.
Work great with my Red Sears Jack.
Protect the shocks just fine.

I have to kinda rock it, while sliding the jack under though.
I could ride the wheels up on blocks, but it works okay.

I have been lifting under the shocks for a couple of years now and it doesn't seem to have hurt the shocks at all. I have my shocks set with a lot of pre-load for 2 up and luggage and they seem to ride just fine. A little stiff when I am riding one up, but I don't care. I guess I should get a set of the guards, but just haven't really felt the need.
