Ok I will start with the fact this is my first Harley. I just purchased (September) a 2012 fatboy lo. Typical stage one HD SE A/C stg. 1 and V&H big radius 2/2 pipes. I got decal pop all over the place, what I consider limited low end on pulling out, mostly when bike is cold. 6th gear is a lug fest unless its 70 or over. So my question is... Is the power vision what I need or will one of the lesser tuners work? I tap out around $500 bucks so lets not get into dyno's and such. I have read how great the P/V is and agree but do I really need it? I like the fact I can remove it once she is dialed in. help me pull the trigger w/o a rant please. thanks in advance
I love mine. Flash ECM unplug and ride. You can also dial it in a little if you like. Real easy to do, lots of videos on youtube about it. You can also leave it attached and set up different gauges so you can monitor things if you like. best thing I like is I can use it for minor to major changes and don't have to take it to somebody else to set it up for me. Other tuners might meet your needs just fine, and do what you need them to do, but for me, this was worth every penny.
Buy it from FuelMoto, they will send it with a good canned map, flash it to your ECM, do a couple of auto tunes to dial the map to your VE tables, and you'll be good to go!
Should you still have a problem, call fuelmoto, tell them the problem, send them your map, and it will come back all dialed in..
A big plus.... if you ever change your mods, you're a free map away from dialing them in...
I purchased mine (PV2) based on all of the great reviews I have read around the internet. I tried to tune my Heritage on Saturday but kept getting the error message "Preparing ECU failed". I sent an email to tech support yesterday and will call them when they open up on the west coast later this morning. It looks like a great unit and I have a feeling that I was doing something dumb. I will let you know how their support goes.

I'm sure they can sort it out....
Whether you were doing something wrong, or you happened to get the rare, bad unit from the factory (hey, it happens to even the best)... once you get it straightened out you will love it's simplicity....
Or like me, it will peak your curiosity and you will start reading and learning more about this EFI tuning stuff and all the complex things the PowerVision is capable of handling..!
