Default 2014 Softail Lowering

Just wanted to ask, I would like to lower the front and rear of my softail but I don't want to go with the shotgun kit because I really don't need to adjust the height just want to come down an inch or two while being reliable and still able to perform.....could you guys help recommend the best possible option for the front and rear. Also include names of manufacturers so that I can do further research.

Thanks

check out j&p catalog online for burnout cycles rear lowering kit for softails. its way cheaper than air ride and you can adjust the height to soot you. I used them on a deluxe that I had and was very happy with it. cost about a hundred bucks and you can install them yourself without having to disassemble the shocks. you will have to remove the shocks from the bike to install them though

They reduce lean angle and decrease the distance to the bump stops, but they work fine. If you can give up those things and don't weight much over 200 lbs, they are great. If you are like me and just over 240, the ride gets a bit harsh if you go more than 1" down in the rear.

As for the front, I suggest the Progressive monotube cartridges for the forks. They will give you the ride height you want and still ride better than stock.

Easy install too. The link and page say through 2013 but I checked the catalog and they use the same part number through 2015.
