I went from an carb'd 88a to a fi 103b. I love the new engine, but miss the sound and feel of the 88. Nothing wrong with the good old 88.

My Night Train had the TC88. Other than wishing it had an extra gear in the transmission, the drivetrain was never lacking.

I love my 88 too, and I've never wished I had an extra gear..... never understood why folks wanted it....cruising on the freeway at 75 to 80 mph and it rides great! ... Enjoy. Chopperswapper is fun for the banter sometimes, just gotta ignore and enjoy the crazy stuff people are selling

Someone will always have an opinion of what someone else's Sh#t is worth. The only people that matter are the buyer and seller and that the two of them can settle on an agreement. That being said, my 05 Super glide with a stock TC 88 suits me fine. I am aware of the cam tensioner issue and will deal with it when the time comes. I have cruised the free way at 80-90 on it and the cruising power is there.

Love my "twinkie" you do have to keep an eye on the chain tensioner shoes though, or do what I did and install S&S 510 gear drive kit and never look back. Personally I would never get rid of this for one of the newer bikes, but thats just me

I have been fortunate to have owned many bikes with many different engines. Out of them all my favorite is the 88B.

I love my 2k TC88b engine, and the bike it is mounted in. Bought a 14 Limited but will never get rid of my car bed 88. Runs perfect and is, dare I say, a classic.....
