LOL, nice....

so here is a funny side story......I wanted to wire mine up so it would start in ANY gear and I dont have the clutch switch anymore remember.....thought I had it but alas it didnt work..so I need to tear the tank off again...no big deal.....whatever I did do, causes my security light to light up all the time, otherwise bike runs like a top.....BUT, the other day putting those struts lights on, I flipped her to "accessory" ...and that started the bike....LMAO....nice feature albeit scared the **** out of me......

Default Earth X (small) battery

Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LiFEPO4) technology.

I have been considering an Earth X ETX36C. The factory lists this battery as acceptable for a 96" Harley. Look at the specs, 4.5" tall vs over 6" for the stock batt and the next larger case.

I have a 103" Engine, and nothing wrong with the stock battery, so I have been holding off trying this one. I like the Earth X because it has charge protection built in, made in USA.

There have been riders who think the batt failed, because the LiFEPO4 perform VERY differently from lead acid:

Nice build man. It's looking mean. Gonna be using your thread for all kinds of guidance as I have a 99 Softail I might be working on.

i think i would get frustrated with the warming the battery. almost confuse me when i would appear to be dead. i am thinking about trying an odyssey battery

http://www.odysseybatteries.com/batteries/pc545mj.htm

OR the yuasa battery that roland sands recommends.

Those both look like decent battery's. Any one know the weight of the stock battery?
