I have a new 2015 Fatboy lo. My wife likes to ride with pretty often and right now the stock pipes are so quiet that we can have a conversation while riding around town with just slightly elevated voices (past about 40 the wind gets to be too much) i really like the looks of the v&h BR 2-2 and i want to do a full stage 1 upgrade over the summer. Will the 2-2 be so loud that we can not talk to each other? (Especially coupled with a new air intake)? Thanks in advance.
BR's 2-2 and BSS'er both give good performance...Both are loud when you nail but not too bad at Cruising speed... The BSS'ers won't blow dust up on the rear of your bike like the BR's will.. That was one thing about those pipes the son didn't like...
Also on the BSS's I think you can get the Q--baffle which will be a HAIR quieter and will have a bit of a deeper note..

If you like 2 n2 pipes how bout the pro street turnouts, best lookin 2 n2 imo. But i like my 2n 1 ( no dusting going on here)
I like the look I now have but I miss the performance from my 2 into 1. Just food for thought since your looking for pipes. Its the only 2 into 1 pipe that I liked the performance, the looks and the sound. Python pipe.

Yes, they will be very loud. One of the best things you and your wife could do is go to your local Bike Night. There will be lots of different exhaust, so you both can hear the sound in person for yourself. It will give both of you a better idea of what sound you would be happy with
I have the Big Radius 2-2 on my Lo and I love them! I only ride solo so I have never held a conversation (except with the voices in my head ) lol but at speed, they aren't too loud at all. Yesterday I did notice that while my bike was idiling and I was talking to a buddy who was positioned on the pipe side of my bike, we had to raise our voices to hold a conversation.
My PERSONAL opinion, you can't beat the looks of a black Lo with a set of BR 2-2 pipes on it.....nice! Good luck in your search.
I just bought a brand new 2014 limited and after riding a soft tail for the last 7 years I'm loving it , Problem is I cant afford a whole new exhaust yet but I really don't like the stock sound (or performance) Any tips ?
