Ok, my bike is black, white and chrome. I have been thinking of taking my 3 inspections covers off to be powder coated to break it up a little. So, black or white? I have white in all my seat and backrests and my hand grips too. I don't think I have ever seen them in white and that's the way I'm leaning as of now but always subject to change. Rarely do I ask questions like this but I am a little stumped. Heck, I might just leave them chrome!
I would love to post up more current pictures. I have some great ones on my phone. Sadly, when it comes to a PC I am nearly illiterate. I have had people try to explain to me how its done but alas I still can't do it. Maybe I will try to meet up with my daughter here soon and have her teach me how.

The easiest way, to me, is to make yourself an imgur(dot)com account (its free). Install the app on your phone. Upload the photos from the app to your account.. it's pretty straight forward.. there's a button that looks like an up-arrow in a cloud. Go on to your computer to imgur, and post the imgur links on here. Imgur will give you the links you need, you just copy and paste them:
I think that powder coating just the inspection covers will only show small, random splotches of color amidst the chrome. Unless you powdercoat the oil bag, a/c cover and rocker covers as well, you won't be happy with it. I would leave them chrome. Something to think about instead of color is changing the texture of the covers; billet vs. smooth? You could also save those pennies for a custom paint job.
My gut tells me that you are pulling at straws to find something to change because you can't actually be done with the mods to this bike???
If I haven't said it anytime soon, you're bike is phenomenal !
Tony,
Your bike is stone beautiful the way it is. Leave them chrome! I have seen your bike many times in person and change just for the sake of change can do more harm than good. You have cabin fever (we all do here in Illinois). Leave that baby hibernate a little while longer!
Well, that snapped me back to reality. Seriously, the only 2 things that have not been touched, replaced, rebuilt, changed and chrome is the paint and wheels. My intention was to paint it but it turned out so well in the black and white I hate to! I have a hard time springing for that kind of money for wheels. I think I shall leave it as it is.
Same here Tony,, I've always loved your bike. IMO that's the best paint HD has on a Lux..
I also think doing them all white or all black may not look as good as just chrome..
another option might be to do something like this with some custom covers. you may even find them in white and chrome.!
