Default Fork mounted wind deflectors

I have a 2009 Heritage and ordered wind deflectors (fangs) part no.- 157400143. Catalog said they would fit my bike. The box they came in also said they would fit. There is no way I could get them to clear the turn signals. I see Heritages on here with fangs, wondering if there is another part no. that fits?

Per the website they should fit.

I have the previous model on my 09 Heritage so they may be a bit different but they fit fine and I wouldn't ride without them.

The part number that I have for mine is "5821-85B" and I got them for $65.

Default Deflector

I tried them in every possible configuration with no luck. The part no. of yours seems to be no more. Thanks for the reply.

If I assume the first 1 in your part number is a typo then it should fit.

From their website

Fits '86-later FLS, FLST, FLSTC, FLSTF, FLSTFB, FLSTSE/2/3 and '93-'96 FLSTN models equipped with Harley-Davidson® King-Size Windshield and/or Passing Lamp Kits. Does not fit Springer™ models.

Also for 2009 it says on their website

2009

Heritage Softail Classic FLSTC
Fat Boy FLSTF

Note that the instructions are different for a rigid mounted windshield compared to a detachable windshield.

Here is a link to the PDFs with instructions

http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J05521.PDF

I was wondering if your windshield, auxillary lights, turn signals were all stock.

Art of the instructions say this which you may have missed

On 2000 and later models, be sure the wind deflector is outside of the windshield docking points.

For proper fitment, passing lamps/turn signals may have to be readjusted to gain clearance between turn signal and wind deflector.

Mine fit fine on my 2K. Install was a bit of a PITA. Could have used longer bolts from MOCO!

I struggled with this as well. I have a 2003 Heritage. I ended up taking them to my indy when he did my preseason check. He put them on for me. I didn't feel like forcing them. I love them by the way. Big difference at higher speeds.

Anyone got the factory fork mounted wind deflectors on an Electraglide. Had them on my RK and was debating whether they improved wind issues or created more buffeting on windy days. The 09 Electra seems to be way better in the wind. Fairing vs the RK windshield pushing a ton of air, maybe. Just wondering????
