Hi everyone.. I'm new here so work with me lol.. I have a 1999 softail custom.. speedometer stopped working,took dash apart and smelled burnt, took speedo apart and seen some water stains on circuit board, ordered new dash and speedo,installed over the weekend and still no speedo, everything else works fine.. the speedo does a sweep when you turn on ignition but that's it.. any help would be appreciated.. thanks

 

Pull the speedo pick up out of the transmission, clean it off, re-install it and give it another try.

 

Are you talking about the speed sensor? I did clean it off and turned on switch and spun tire by hand,maybe not fast enough to read though
