Default New to me Heritage.

I've come back to the softail side of life. Just bought my dads 07 heritage from him which he bought new. The bike only has 9k miles on it. I'm planning on doing a vicla build with it, and if anyone has any input on a good 2 up seat that goes with the vicla look I would appreciate any input.

Congrats on the Heritage. Have you check out Lepera seats? I would think that a Daytona 2up would look pretty nice. Of course it's pretty narrow, not so good for the long haul.

Thanks guys! I'll take a look at that Daytona seat. The only thing I don't like about the heritage is the studded leather, so that'll be the first thing to go.

You know, at first I didn't like the studs but now I think they are pretty cool. Without them it's just not a Heritage anymore.

I agree, Heritage, harkens back to that 1957 pan head that I got my first ride on from our neighbor down the gravel road in southern Illinois. So a Heritage to me gotta have the studs... but to each his own I guess, you own it.

I agree, Heritage has all the studs/conchos. You remove those and you have a great Softail, but not a Heritage. That being said I like the Vicla look and you have a great starting point for the build.

I agree - You have to keep the studs on a Heritage. But be careful - if you change the seat for a more traditional softail look, a LePera Bare Bones (or similar) seat will wear your butt out after about 150 miles... I use a full Mustang seat for long hauls, and a small Corbin around town...
