Default The strangest thing doing 50kmh, engine dies...

Was doing 50kmh today when suddenly the engine stopped like I switched it of or hit the run button. Pulled over, turned of the ignition, switched it back on, started and viola, engine runs like it should. No more probs the whole 200km ride.

Error log was empty, went to the dealer, they double checked, couldn't find a thing!

Buddy of mine with a 2014 Softail CVO said he had the same thing last year, noting found, never happened since.

I'd love to hear your opinions so please fire away!

Something very similar was happening to my friends bike. The local dealer failed to find the problem...I suspect they did not look hard...blamed it on his aftermarket wires...LOL, horse hockey.
On a trip, kept doing it, went to the small local hd shop and they figured it out in fifteen minutes for 65 bucks. He was missing five firmware updates for his bikes computer...even after two hours of shop time...they updated his computer and it drove like New and has continued like New for the last two years.
Apparently the service folks don't check this unless you ask...
I had them check mine and I had three updates available, which they loaded. Good deal for 65 bucks...
Not kidding, this completely resolved my friends problem. Hope it works out.
Ride safe.

My bikes doing it constantly since this passed Monday. As soon as you try to pull away from a light or up shift it cuts off like flipping the run switch off. Like yours it starts right back up. I have a ThunderMax tuner on mine so HD updates are not my answer. You can blip the throttle all you want in neutral and it continues to run, has great idle. Bike only has 1700 miles had it towed to the Moco today. I'll post back with what they find, maybe it will help you.

Mine is now one month old, 2500 miles on it and it has the latest software updates. As soon as it happens again I'll make sure they re-flash everything. I have a supertuner btw, since day one.
