If that's your goal, you'd be money ahead buying this rather than converting yours. Somebody spent a TON of money doing this as those aren't cheap valve covers/side cases...along with all the other cool stuff this 48 replica has, kicker cover, old school exhaust, bags, etc etc.
That bike looks great! Someone put a lot of time into it, that's for sure.
All the research I did when I had my XBonez is all the swing arms are the same width. HD is not going to make a swing arm that was specific to the XBones 200mm rear tire. There are guys on this forum that have done the swap from skinny tire to wide and vise versa.

Santo,
Thank you, for replying. I'm finding this out. I bought a slim rear wheel to put in, and the slim has the same swingarm. Skeeze, and Joe G. Have been super helpful, in this endeavor. I am currently amassing parts, just found a painter, so, if all goes well, the makeover will start very soon.

Sounds like you're headed in the right direction, I wish I had not sold my Bones but I just wasn't into the wide rear wheel for the look that I was going for, other than that they are great bikes. Now that I don't have it it seems like lots of deals are showing up on Slim take off wheels..go figure just my luck. Here are a
few pics of my old Bonez.
