hope im in the right place,,i went to start it the other morning and nothing???it cranks fine when i did the plug to ground trick NO spark,,i had the coil checked and it was ok,but i bought a new one anyway,(local bike shop wasent offering any info)i checked most of the wiring all looks good,this is a 2000 fat boy stock with carb,,any info would be great,thanks

You will not get spark if the compression is too low. Pick up a 2nd set of plugs (or use some old ones) to check for spark while your current ones are still in the heads.

Cam and crank sensor is a possibility.

Default 2000 no spark

i did test it with a set of plugs in,,,nothing,what gets me is there is power to the coil in and out,,but nothing breaking spark?every tords the final ride the bike would hickup then the check engine would come on?would the cam sensor have anything to do with the spark?but thanks all for the info you all gave,,

Sounds to me like crank sensor failure. I'd just replace it, it's
Located in front of the motor right next to the oil filter.

That hickup tells me it is your cam position sensor. Mine did that and the engine light would come on and off. The crank position sensor usually just kills the bike when it goes.
