Default Upgrade from 96 to 103

Did a bit of research but thought the most concise answer might come through here. Somebody local just posted the "top end" of a 103". I am curious what exactly I would all need to make an upgrade like this happen.

It says head and jugs and I also see the cams in the picture. They are brand new never fired and he wants 250$ for them.

Conversely, if there is more to it than I am willing to do and anyone is interested in the top end of a 103 for 250, let me know.

Also, I'm not sure what you would need, I would upgrade everything, rebuild the bottom, just to make everything match in newness,

That would cost way to much money to be worth it....

To take a 96" to a 103" you will just need the pistons/cylinders and a top end gasket kit. The heads will be the same unless the 103's have ACR's which will need to be hooked up and have that provision flashed to the ECM. There will be and always are other parts that you will need and/or want to change whilst doing the work, but for the most part, having the cylinders/pistons and a gasket kit is what is needed.

so it's not required to change cams?...and pushrods?...and add compression releases to the heads (if no acr)?

96" to 103" is the same as 88" to 95".

Cylinders, pistons and maybe the SE203 cams.

Lot's of guys on here claim that if your bumping up from a 96" don't stop until you reach 107" for the best bang for your buck.
