Default Transmission question ...

... can anyone tell me how to check the transmission fluid and where the dip stick is localed on a 02 Heritage Classical Softail?

I do not know much about wrenching my own bike, but would like to learn and this seems like a great forum to start with.

Thanks!

The dipstick is on the end of the fill holeplug. This plug is on the top of the trans. on the right side of the bike. It is an allen head plug, it is chrome and sits flush with the top of the transmission. I think the size is 3/8" allen.

To check the transmission the bike needs to be sitting level, and not on the side stand.
