Fatboy Starting Issues
If the FOB battery is dead, the ignition comes on, dash lights come on, Fuel Pump will NOT prime, starter will not turn. If you ask me how I know, live and learn, that is why I change them every year whether they need it or not.
My 2014 asks to enter the Security Code if the FOB is not close by or dead.

Dan, this is a great site, we can pass down our experiences to those in need and they get passed along to the next, and so on.
It feels so good to give back...
Lets try to convert:
Tank is 18.9 litres, I can squeeze 350 kms out of the tank and I am running on love. Really no fumes left, just love.
Sooooo, 18.9 L = 5 Gal 350 km = 217.5 miles 43.5 mpg
Now, you have to realize this is my best output. Highway miles, riding about the speed limit (+/-) 110-120 kmh or 68-75 mph
Around town, mixed riding I get about 300 kms per tank or 186 miles per tank.
This is about as close as I can get to the math and conversion. There is a small +/- variance.
Now, I am going to try to get better mileage, I have completed tuning my AFR tables and now I have to fine tune my spark tables. Even with stage 1 modifications completed, I love the Power Vision tuner, it lets me dial in how the bike is running and assess its output.

the specs on the 2012 says18.93 liters, roughly 5 gallons. reason i'm asking is i just installed the flush mount gas caps, and the digital blue lights read more gas than the oem cap did. i've yet to run it till the gas light came on
Now with that said, I have my stock fuel gauge and I also have an updated Speedo with range gauge and fuel gauge in it. Both of my gauges read the same. I am not a fan of the LEDs due to it not being visually accurate in my mind.
Most guys here swear by their trip meter. Compare your miles driven to the amount you put in at a fill up. Do this a few times to get a feel for how close your LEDs are. The LED gauge is probably more accurate than the analog gauge. Go figure.

Google is my friend, you are correct, 2014 FLSTFB has a fuel capacity of 5 gal as well.

yeah, i just got it cause it's pretty, the blue lights for the blue bike and they're flush mount, i'll post pics tomorow.. i usually gas up around 120 miles..i have a long trip to do in a couple weeks, i'll calculate it then. we also have that 10% ethanol crap here too, so i know that affects it also
I compare every time I fill up. I must redo my calculations. Although the tank will never completely be dry when your bike sputters.
Don't rely on on the pretty blue lights...mmmmmm pretty blue lights....
