Springer Classic
I am referring to the inside of the pipe.
It was the same with the stock muffs as it is with the rinehart slip ons.
I just figure the left doesn't get as much exhaust flow and that is why
it gets the rusty color.
Just taken a guess.
Hoping to hear people say things like "Yep, mine too"
But it's not looking that way.

yep, mine did it too.... 05 Springer Classic 13,000 miles. .... until I replaced the gasket in the slip joint in the cross-over. Wasn't a loud leak but it pulled fresh air in during decel that made the outer edge of the muffler end cap brown. It's easy to change, pull the 2 bolts under the muffler & the 1 just above the passenger foot rest. The whole unit will slip off. Whenever I replace a gasket like these, I slather the inside & outside of it with Anti-sieze.
