Has anybody put the detachables option on their Heritage? I was thinking i would like to but also was told it makes the saddlebags stick out further and i dont really want the BMW look from the rear. Not that theres anything wrong with a BMW just not the look i want.
Input on the HD detachable backrest bracket and saddlebag bracket. I will take a pic from the rear tomorrow and post it for you. If they stick out further it's not very noticeable in my opion
I have the detachable tour-pak. I think it puts a 3/4 in gap at the top of the bags, which I think looks bad. If I run without the bags, I'm left with the posts.

Here are he pictures. I don't think they stick out that far compared to stock. Maybe half to 3/4 inch more but you don't notice it when it's all put together
Just did my bike about a month ago. They do stick out a little bit more, but not a problem. That chrome belt guard is more visible afterwards. Very happy I did mine. In case you were not aware, there are two separate docking kits required if doing the backrest also. Bike can be stripped down in seconds, no tools needed.
