Burly Slammer Question
I'm trying to decide between a Burly Slammer kit or a softailloweringkit.com rear set up. Any pro/con about these? Also, is there an easy way to install the Burly? The website says you need some kind of shock compression tool
I don't know anything about the Burley kit, but I installed the softaillowering kit. It was simple. No compression tool needed, but you will need to be able to raise/lower rear wheel. As far as the ride goes, the rear suspension is non-existent. I lowered 2" in the rear. I do like the way it looks, but will eventually go with Shotguns.
Have burley sits nice but will eventually figure out a better setup. like a airshock and much better seat. a 14 inch rear wheel with very low pressure tires and skidguards have crossed my mind as something's to look into with the burley kit and stock shocks. I've ruined a set a street sweepers and d&d fat cats. i lowered my front also made a better ride after lowering the rear. I have been keeping an eye out for a setup I can raise and lower depending on the terain.
