Hi
loooking seriously for a fatboy.
I thought I knew enough about the fatboy to be able to feel confident in making my purchase...but no... when it comes down to it I am a newbie.
There is a really nice looking somewhat customised 2004 fatboy with 4700 km but has a 1340cc engine.
I thought all 2004 fatboys come with the twin cam 1450 engine? am I mistakenand should I be concerned?
If it's a 2004 with a 1340cc, then it's not a Harley. It is possible to do a ground up build with an Evo type engine and hae it titled the year the frame was purchased. Any more one can literaly scratch build a bike from a catalog. I don't understand why someone would build a custom bike to look exactly like a stock Harley, but it can be done. I say look at the title before making the purchase.
I am selling my 05 Fatboy, bought it new, garage kept. All paper work and services. I'll be happy to send pics if you want. Send request to shudson428@aol.com
Sanford and STRO1965 are correct. I own an '04, and it has the 88 TC 1450cc, not an Evo engine. You may want to check out Scott's '05 (tnhud). They're virtually identical, except for minor cosmetic changes. My '04 has '06 tins on it, and I believe the logos in '05/'06 were identical. Take a look at the pic in my signature block. Good luck. I'm admittedly biased, but Fattys rule!
