Paint peeling
I have a 06 heritage the paint is pealing off the oil tank the tank looks chrome underneath my question is is the tank a chrome tank with black paint on it if so what's the easiest way of getting the paint off without ruining the chrome

I have heard:
that they are all chrome to start with, and then some are painted to final finish.
they can be stripped and polished out

Somebody painted the oil tank. Heritage tanks are chrome. Very few Softail models have painted tanks from the factory.

That's because I first read it as the fuel tank.
