Which Fuelpack are you referring to?

You're gonna need the ECM flashed for the combo of pipes and a/c. Therefor you'll need a tuner...either Fuelpak, PV, SEPST....

With aftermarket tuners you can do it on your own, presuming you have an appropriate map. The dealer can also do this but HD dealers tend to favor the SEPST, AFAIK.

Fuel Pak will take care of it if you just choose the right combo

The stock engine control system has some pretty good self-adjusting capabilities. You probably didn't need a Fuelpak in the first place, and don't need any tuning changes now.

Not that there aren't always plenty of people trying to sell you stuff that you don't really need.

So I agree, the bike does not "need" the tuner to run. It will indeed run.

To get the benefit of his investment in the performance products that he bought though, he should get a tuner. The tuner with new maps are optimized for the new airflow the bike will see with the new air cleaner and exhaust. Also I bet he will get a lot of decel pop if he wasnt already with just the pipes.

So it's not a "need", but the tuner will indeed make your bike faster, run cooler, and optimize your performance for your current upgrades and future upgrades you may choose to do.
