Default 2016 Slim Pricing?

So, Possibly, Im looking to jump into the softail dimension. Have had a Dyna for the last 7 years. Really like it, but I've ridden the Slim a few times and really dig it.

I typically buy used, but am amicable to buying a 2016 at a decent price.

One I have my eye on is a 2016, store demo model. Looks nice, has 400+ miles on it.
I asked for their offer, and it was 1k off stick price putting it at 14.9k.

Was hoping for a bit better given it's a demo, and even non-demos are around that price.

Any thoughts on a demo model? Ask for more off?

Thanks.

I gave $15400, out the door, for a 2016 SlimS in July.

I was at $18,900k out the door in July. Not happy, they wouldn't negotiate at all but you can ask. I changed my mind and bought a low mileage Heritage used, spotless and half the cost of new. It's a 96 ci instead of a 103 but I love it. Softails ride so comfy!!!

Yeah, that's where I'm at now. Found a nice used one just over 1k miles for a good price.

I had to endure the harda$$ "mafia sit-down" routine to get an out the door price from the dealer. So no thanks on that.

I can tell you there's little difference between the 96 and the 103 ci engine, despite all the hoopla here about upgrading around the forum here. I might do a cam in a couple years, right now I just love my bike. Definitely buy used, no need to make bike payments!!! Mine is paid for, there's more freedom in that than a new motorcycle.

Default just got my Silm S.

I got mine (2016) new for 17000 and sales tax made it 18275 or so. Was happy with price. Doing monthly payments about same amount of my 1200 custom I traded in and a much lower interest rate. I got a 2.7 rate so happy. Strange is that my motorcycle cycle insurance rates dropped by 25 so I am even on my monthly motorcycle costs.

Another great thing about a paid off bike is when you get fired you can laugh and go for a ride to relax before looking for another job.
