Thanks for the great info. You guys are alright. I should probably get a service manual for this bike. Any advice on that?? Should I get that from Harley, aftermarket (ie. Chilton, Haynes), online any cheaper? I will dig into the fork oil thing.

I have an 06 fxst and have the same clunk as well. Probably the oil but how do I check it.

Hell Bill, I'm so dense I bought all three!! Actually I bought the Haynes and it didn't have exactly what I wanted so I went down to my Stealer and after sticker shock when and bought a Clymers.... I found a good deal on a new HD manual on eBay and got it this week at 1/4 the cost at the Stealer!!
