Anyone have any problems with them performance wise? Also does it really improve performance, I have heard differant views. Im going to put it on a 05 Nite Train carb....
Agree with Bill. I had one on a previous bike and it didn't make any difference at all. As someone said on this board, they are mostly the hype part of hyper.
If you like the looks (blech~~~), use it. But if you want something that performs, forget it. Another way to look at it: Why would you want to put something on a bike that has moving parts that will eventually fail, when those moving parts serve absolutely no purpose?
I had one on a Sporty, and they really are just for looks, not much in the way of performance. The dealership where I live doesn't even recommend them. You be better served with something like a Doherty Power PACC. Just my .02.
Well here is my .02. I just ordered my Hypercharger Pro series before reading this thread. I finally installed it Friday. Compaired to my stock air cleaner, I did see an improvement. I'd probably see more with a different aftermarket cleaner though. I already had pipes and a Power Commander installed with the correct map. I will continue to use it since I just dumped the cash for it.
Now the drawbacks. I was not aware that it stuck out so far compaired to stock. You need to use two spacers when installing it. I now have to reach for the rear brake when stopping but isn't too bad.
The main reason for me choosing it was wanting something in black crinkle. I didn't see too many air cleaners like that. Now they claim that they made improvements with the Pro series cleaner. Who really knows. Had I known all of this, I would have passed on it myself.
Here is a couple of pics.

I've got one on my 05 Night Train and I'm taking it off! Good for eye candy[IMG][/IMG] Bad for performance[IMG][/IMG]
Man those pipes are great! Also, are they genuine forward controls? I'm thinking of getting some. How do they feel?
ps: don't worry about the hyper charger/performance issue, if you like it, stick with it!

I had one on a '98 Buell S1 White Lightning and it seemed to help a little, but the thing I liked most about it was the sound that it made when I opened the throttle. I can't explain the sound, but it was awesome. Wish I still had that bike as a second ride, it did wheelies in 1st - 4th gear without trying!
